Mr. Byron Griffith was Chris
Robinson's business manager
and agent. He may still be. I don't know. Byron's job was
to find talented
people. At one time I thought I wanted to an actor. Byron
was kind enough
to see if I really wanted the job. He introduced me around
and at the time (1962 or there about) let me participate
in his "showcase" parties. These parties were an informal
gathering at his home in the Hollywood Hills for
producers, would-be actors (yours truly), writers, and
directors for the
purpose of making a deal. I got this opportunity to
present myself through
my friend Chris Robinson. Chris, if I forgot to thank you,
I am now thanking you...especially for being there when I
crashed my motorcycle and during
my recovery being the taxi. Anyway...I was a presenter for
only one of these
parties. I was not an actor.
This photo was the cover of a photo essay assignment when I was going to Art Center College of Design, in Los Angeles. |
Mr. Chris Robinson was one of many actors that Byron
Griffith managed. Chris is also a high school
friend. We went to Ft. Lauderdale High
in Florida. After graduation he moved to Hollywood,
California and studied
acting at LACC. |
He graciously let me share his garage apartment. |
Scroll down to see the original shot. I got homesick and returned to Ft. Lauderdale and in
February of 1957 joined the USAF. |
After my hitch in the USAF I returned to Los Angeles to go
to The Art Center College Of Design to major in
Advertising Photography. |
