30 Days In Europe - 1958
Well, here is a bit of memorabilia; especially for us baby boomers who were in the armed forces during alleged peace time years before Vietnam was officially declared the unofficial war, in spite of the body counts.
If any of my fellow class mates want to add to this narrative; I will add their comments.

This trip took place in the month of September of 1958. I had saved 30 days leave to use all at once. I meet my step aunt in Paris and we toured Europe.
This cat also had a broken tail. He had no shame nor could you bluff him. You definitely wanted him on your side when you got into a bar fight; if for no other reason that to lick your wounds; you would win with him on your side; however it would be costly; to the other side.
Aside from the great Art; the food is; well ....nirvana. Anchovies are my favorite accents; finally got my fill as an
hor-d'oeuvre; an eight inch diameter plate covered one
anchovy thick deep with a generous side of fresh butter; used as a chaser.
FLAMENCO AT CORRAL DE LA MORERIA
The following photos were taken at
Corral de la Moreria
and can also be seen at an international  site
devoted only to
Flamenco Dancing and Music
This dancer is what made me to decide to pursue photography.
I was going to make the USAFSS my home. Real neat work
and not boring. My commander saw this dancer and strongly
suggested that I had something to offer as a photographer.....
so; on my return to the USA, as the plane flew over the small
island of Manhattan, on a rare, clear, crisp day in September,
revealing every brick, every steel girder, every pane of glass
in the Chrysler building; even through my salty tears; I knew
that no matter what my life would be; photography would
be my touchstone.
